How many people live in the home ? Please list names and ages. If you have children or if there are children who often visit, please tell us about them.

Does anyone in the household have serious allergies, physical disabilities, or other health problems that might relate to the type of dog that would be suitable?

Who will usually take care of the dog? What is the occupation or that person? (in general, we don’t need details)

What type of home :house, apartment, townhouse, other? and community do you have: city, surbs, rural, small town, other?

How many dogs have you owned in the past 10 years?

Do you own any other whippets? If yes, how many?

Can you tell us wether they are neutered or spayed,  or intact?

Have you owned any whippets in the past? If so where did you obtain them from?

If you own other pets, how do you plan to introduce your whippet puppy to them?

If you are looking to purchase a show prospect, are you willing to agree a co-ownership?
A co-ownership will require that we are informed about everthing you will do with the your whippet.  The sale of any show-prospect will be accompaied by a specific contract which will require that the dog will be shown regulary, that we are informe about his performences, litters or stud.

Do you have preference for a male or a bitch, specific color or other trait?

Do you have a fenced garden? If so, what kind and what height?  If not how are you planning to exercice your new whippet? Are you willing to walk him several times a day to relieve himself in addition to long walks for exercise?

How will you handle it when your whippet has an little accident in your house? No matter how well trained your whippet it, this can happen sometime.

What activities do you plan on participating with your new whippet? Dog show, coursing, racing, jogging, other

Will someone usually be home with your whippet during the day?

If not, how many hours at a time will he be alone most days?

Where will your whippet spend his time?  Inside the house, the garden, in a kennel run, a crate etc? If inside the home will he have full run of the house or will he be restricted?  Where will your whippet stay when you are at work or shopping? Where will your whippet sleep at night?  Where will your whippet stay when you are out of town for a short time, during your holidays?

How do you feel about dogs being on furniture? Would you allow your whippet onto the couch, bed etc?

What kind of research have you done on Whippets? Information on internet, books, other kennels?

What kind of diet will you feed your whippet?  If feeding commercial dog food, what brand or brands will you feed?

What vaccination protocol do you and/or your veterinarian follow?

Have you ever returned a dog for any reason and if so what was the reason?

Should your circumstances change so that you are no longer able to care for this whippet, will you agree to return this dog to us, so that we can find a solution. And do you agree not selling him or giving him away?

Have you ever bred a litter of dogs? If so give a brief description.

How far are you willing to travel to pick up your whippet? Please indicate how you would travel (by car, plne, etc).

We really like to keep up with the whippets we have bred.  Wuld you be willing to keep us updated on your puppy’s development over the years?
